Central to the Division of Diversity and Health Equity is the recruitment and retention of a diverse physician workforce. This is achieved through intentional recruitment and holistic review of all applicants for residency, fellowship, and faculty positions.

The following are examples of our scholarships and resident and faculty development initiatives:

Resident JEDI Travel Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded to trainees for professional development opportunities or for involvement as speakers at events that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Academic Year 2021-22

  • Lynea Bull, M.D.- Scholarship to present DEI didactic at SAEM 22
  • Joe Iluore, M.D.- Scholarship for recruitment initiatives at SNMA AMEC 22

Faculty JEDI Development
