Xander Wehrens, M.D., Ph.D. is a professor of Molecular Physiology & Biophysics, Medicine (in Cardiology), Neuroscience, Pediatrics (in Cardiology), and Space Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine.

Since 2009, Dr. Wehrens has served as a co-director of the Medical Scientist Training Program at Baylor. Our MSTP program is in its 42nd year of continuous funding from the NIH and has trained over 250 physician-scientist.

Dr. Wehrens has trained over 90 undergraduate and graduate students, clinical and research fellows in his laboratory. Dr. Wehrens accepts trainees from the programs listed below.
