Professional Statement

My research focuses on the etiology of congenital malformations and embryonal tumors. I use multidisciplinary approaches that include genetic engineering, functional genomics, live-cell imaging, high-content and high-throughput screening, animal models, nutritional science, and epidemiology to understand the etiologies of birth defects. My research is currently focused on cell-based analyses of early embryonic development, reproductive and developmental toxicity, and nutritional prevention of birth defects.
