- My group's interests revolve around single cell analysis of gene expression, primarily through native or engineered estrogen receptor model systems. Model systems are designed for use with quantitative, high content analysis using a wide range of imaging platforms, ranging from high throughput microscopy to multiple super resolution platforms (SIM, STED, STORM) followed by image analysis, data mining and classifications approaches, including deep learning and neural networks. Current funding centers around use of the above approaches to detect/quantify/classify endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) in flood waters associated with Galveston Bay and the Houston Ship Channel.
