Professional Statement

Dr. Angela Catic is a board certified geriatrician with an interest in geriatric education and developing models of care. She currently serves as Associate Director of the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. In addition to her fellowship duties, Dr. Catic’s clinical interests including dementia, delirium, pain management, and care of complex elders. She is developing multiple care models at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. These include an interdisciplinary dementia consult program and a program for geriatric integrated longitudinal consultation within primary care. This program will use e-consults and traditional clinic visits to target the most vulnerable elders in the medical center. Dr. Catic has been involved in tele-education programs (ECHO) in her prior position and will be building a program to target the geriatric care needs for veterans in contract nursing homes and community based primary care clinics.
