About the Center

The Center for Biomedical Prototype Development offers cutting-edge biomedical research and healthcare by designing and fabricating custom scientific instruments and medical devices for investigators and physicians.

The center has an experienced engineer and a machinist on staff who are able to address a broad range of engineering and fabrication challenges.

In addition, the center has at its disposal a range of advanced machinery and instruments, including a computer-controlled 5-axis mill and lathe, as well as a 3D printer and laser cutter. Past projects range from high-precision engineering and fabrication of mechanical parts to advanced electronics and optical instruments.
