Award Recipients for Ninth Annual CVRI Symposium – 2022
The Cardiovascular Research Institute at Baylor College of Medicine recently hosted its 9th Annual Symposium.
The event featured Nobel laureate, Gregg L. Semenza, M.D., Ph.D., director, Vascular Program at the Institute for Cell Engineering, and professor of Genetic Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. The day was filled with scientific lectures and also featured a virtual poster session. The CVRI was able to highlight over 70 abstracts in the poster session and awarded five “Best Poster Awards” to basic science and clinical trainees, and junior faculty. In addition, two outstanding faculty were awarded the Dr. Mark L. Entman Award for Excellence in Cardiovascular Education.
