Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center is ranked #17 in Neurology and Neurosurgery Hospitals on U.S. News and World Report, Baylor St. Luke’s is our primary teaching hospital. With a closed 20-bed NICU staffed by dedicated neuro-intensivists and specially trained nurses, a comprehensive stroke center with an extensive tele-stroke program with surrounding hospitals, as well as a four-bed epilepsy monitoring unit, residents care for neurological patients using cutting edge techniques and technology.

Ben Taub is the flagship hospital of the Harris Health System, the 3rd largest public hospital system in the United States. Ben Taub is an Elite Level 1 Trauma Center and a Comprehensive Stroke Center serving Houston’s large and very diverse population, including immigrants from around the world. The residents care for patients on a primary service, consultative services, as well as a number of subspecialty outpatient clinics.

One of the largest VAs in the country, the MDVAMC is a primary stroke center as well as housing a one of only six national Parkinson’s Disease Research, Education, and Clinical Centers (PADRECC) with active DBS program as well as a Comprehensive Epilepsy Center of Excellence with four-bed EMU.
