Professional Statement
In my extensive tenure of over 16 years within the realm of higher education, I have assumed diverse leadership positions encompassing the oversight of student success initiatives, program administration and evaluation, academic guidance, student recruitment, student retention, business strategy, and student affairs. Presently, I am actively engaged in collaborative endeavors with deans, faculty members, staff, and students, wherein I analyze, report, and interpret an array of data pertaining to examinations, assessments, courses, and teaching evaluations. Moreover, I hold the role of NBME Chief Proctor for the Temple campus, while also providing valuable support for education research. My proficiencies encompass a wide range of skills, including data analysis, data visualization, data management, programming (with basic experience in Python and R), written and verbal communication, report writing, event coordination, project leadership, and community outreach, all within the context of higher education settings.Within the scope of my professional and scholarly pursuits, I am particularly interested in investigating medical school admissions pipeline programs, exploring the efficacy of preparation programs for the Medical College Admission Test, examining performance outcomes among medical school students, and evaluating the academic achievements of underrepresented minority (URM) students, underrepresented in medicine (UiM) students, first-generation students, and those hailing from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds.
