Drs. Carter and Huang Inducted into AΩA Honor Medical Society
Stacey Carter, M.D., associate professor of surgery and Kevin Huang, M.D., liver transplant fellow, were accepted into Baylor College of Medicine’s Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Alpha Omega Alpha was established in 1902 with the goal of identifying and promoting the highest ideals in medicine, including character, leadership, service, teaching, and professionalism. Drs. Carter and Huang were vetted by a panel of faculty leaders to ensure embodiment of the core values of AΩA and reflection of the society motto “be worthy to serve the suffering.” They were selected based on excellence in scholarship and leadership, as well as being held in highest esteem as a resident educator by student members.
