Pathways to Success: Professional Development and Coching Approaches to Career Conversations

In this 1.5 hour interactive workshop, faculty will explore their role in supporting the professional development of their students and trainees. The session will include a closer look at BCM's Individual Development Plans (IDPs) to help students and postdocs' training and career planning and a model for applying a coaching approach to career conversations. Through discussions and practice, faculty will gain strategies to integrate these tools into mentorship, fostering a supportive environment for continuous development and achievement.

The workshop, using evidence-based materials, helps develop skills and insights in mentoring and provides interactions and discussions between mentors.

Research Mentor Training - Foundations* 

This is a 6-hour, evidence-based workshop helps develop skills and insights in mentoring and provides interactions and discussions between mentors at different institutions and in different disciplines. Workshops cover various aspects of mentoring young scientists in the lab. Participants benefit from case study and group discussions.
