Program Emeriti
The Peer Coaching for Educators program was created in 1999 by the late Dr. Stephen Pierrel as his educational project required to complete the Master Teachers Fellowship Program in which he was enrolled at that time. Hence, for many years thereafter, he - together with Dr. Andrew Wilking - continued to drive and oversee the program. Over time, other Baylor College of Medicine faculty members, foremost Drs. Joan Friedland, Teri Turner, Anne Gill, and Geeta Singhal, contributed to the program’s success by continuously improving and updating its procedures, recruiting and training coaches, and elevating the program in its importance to Baylor’s educational mission. Today, we are grateful to those exemplary leaders who devoted much of their time and effort in building a robust and excellent peer observation program available to all Baylor's faculty.
