Rotations & Call Schedule
We recruit four residents a year to join our Urology family. Each year consists of four rotations of three months duration. Our call system is divided into three separate resident call pools-Pediatric (TCH), Private Adult (BSLMC), and Public Adult (BTH & MEDVAMC). The residents call is divided into junior (PGY1-3) and senior (PGY 4 & 5) groups with the senior residents providing the necessary back-up to assist their junior colleagues with graduating autonomy. Generally, the junior residents are on call once a week and 1-2 weekends per month.
