Outpatient care is provided at the Renal and Hypertension Clinics at Texas Children's Hospital. Patients can be self-referred but generally are referred by a primary care physician. Children up to age 18 are seen for a variety of renal-related diseases including:
- Proteinuria (protein in the urine)
- Hematuria (blood in the urine)
- Congenital renal disorders
- Renal tubular disorders
- Nephrotic syndromes
- Cystic diseases
- Hypertension
- Renal failure
- Urinary tract infections

Renal Clinics are held on Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and Friday mornings, every week excluding holidays.
Hypertension clinics are held on Mondays.
