Patients presenting to our Emergency Department at Ben Taub Hospital who meet the criteria for each study are eligible to enroll. Cheetah Medical Starling SV Device
The Cheetah device provides a non-invasive assessment of the heart. Previous research has shown that it can also show how the heart will respond to fluids.
ReDS Device
ReDS is a non-invasive, transcutaneous quantifiable measurement of lung water. The ReDS device has been proven to help with the differential diagnosis in patients who have difficulty breathing.
