The primary training site for the Emergency Medicine residents is the Ben Taub Hospital, the central public healthcare facility for Harris County. It is one of only two Level I Trauma Centers serving greater Houston and has a 75-bed Emergency Center and a volume of approximately 100,000 visitors per month.
Texas Children's Hospital
The nation's largest pediatric hospital, Texas Children's Hospital is consistently ranked among the top by U.S. News & World Report and other surveys. It has a 26-bed Emergency Center which serves as a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and is the primary training site for one of the country's largest pediatric emergency medicine fellowship programs.
Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center
Baylor St. Luke's offers residents experience in a private healthcare setting where they care for high-acuity, complex patients in a top hospital which is globally renowned for its cardiac and transplant programs.
Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center
The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center is the largest VA hospital in the US, where our residents function as ED "proceduralists," caring for the Veteran population both in the ED and in a variety of specialty procedural clinics.
