Clinical Ethics Consultation Service
Under the direction of Professor Claire Horner, the Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy provides ongoing leadership for the Ethics Committee and ethics consultation service at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center. The ethics consultation program involves professional ethicists from the center and volunteer ethicists from BSLMC staff.
The ethics consultation service provides 24/7 coverage to assist BSLMC staff, patients, and families with a variety of issues like decision-making capacity, end-of-life care, surrogate decision making, limitations of care, and facilitating communication between families members, patients, and physicians. Don't hesitate to contact the ethics consultation service.
