The Lync software creates a virtual connection between you and your work colleagues. Administrative access on the computer is required to install the Instant Messaging software. Please review the appropriate instructions below for how to download and install the instant messaging client.
NOTE: Some BCM users who had been using Lync 2013 on their desktops and laptops, will now see the new Skype for Business user interface. You will still be able to use the same features that Lync offers including IM, presence, screen sharing etc.

Operating Systems
Lync supports the following operating systems
- Windows 7
- Windows Vista
- Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 3 (SP3)
NOTE: Windows Installer 3.1 must be installed before installing Microsoft Lync.
Download & Installation
You should always match your Lync version to your operating system version. If you are running a 32-bit operating system, you should install the 32-bit version of Lync. If you are running a 64-bit operating system, you should install the 64-bit version of Lync.
