Collaboration is the foundation of the Baylor College of Medicine culture. This is evident in numerous ways, including the openness of investigators, departments and centers to sharing resources. While this is frequently done in informal interactions, the expense of and investment in some resources require a fee-for-service approach. When one department or center develops experience or resources in a given area, they often serve as a supplier for others, thus avoiding duplication of effort. These department- or center-based services supplement the expansive resources available through the Advanced Technology Cores.
