BRAF V600 Mutation Analysis
Test Information: Whole Blood/Bone Marrow Sample Type: Confirm a diagnosis of hairy cell leukemia (HCL) and monitor tumor burden.

FFPE sample type: Use to detect activating BRAF mutations at codon 600, which can indicate responsiveness to BRAF inhibitors in melanomas or resistance to anti-EGFR therapy in colorectal cancer. May be useful in assessing prognosis of certain thyroid cancers. This test is also used within the Lynch syndrome reflex testing pathway (for colorectal cancer specimens only).
