FISH Analysis - Wilms Tumor (WT1)
WT1-Related Disorders | Wilms Tumor and Pseudohermaphroditism | Denys-Drash Syndrome | Familial Wilms Tumor | Frasier Syndrome | Isolated Diffuse Mesangial Sclerosis | Aniridia | Wilms Tumor-Aniridia-Genital Anomalies-Retardation | Hereditary Nephrotic Syndromes | WAGR syndrome
Test Information: Confirmation of Clinical Diagnosis
Test Details
Test Code: 8455
Test Includes: The test for WT1 may be ordered alone or as part of the WAGR panel of 4 FISH probes that span the region of WT1 and PAX 6 (Test #8450).

Special Notes: For initial screening we recommend CMA - HR (#8655).

For patients with isolated Wilms tumor, the likelihood of a deletion is extremely low. Patients with isolated Wilms tumor and a negative FISH test may have a mutation in WT1 not detectable by this assay, however, if a deletion is found, further clinical evaluation for associated anomalies may be indicated.
