The Cancer Screening Wheel
The Cancer Screening Wheel is a colorful, innovative way for people to learn about the various tests available to detect the most common cancers. It consists of screening guidelines indicating when and how often someone should be tested. The wheel provides information about which tests are appropriate for adult men and women. The Cancer Screening Wheel is available in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
The OOHD was recognized with a 2010 Gold award from the National Health Information Resource Center for the Cancer Screening Wheel in the Health Promotion/Disease and Injury Prevention Information category.
Retratos de la Vida Real is a culturally sensitive and linguistically appropriate multimedia program on breast cancer screening aimed at Spanish-speaking women over 20 years of age who have limited reading capabilities. While viewing the program, women learn about the recommended screening guidelines for the early detection of breast cancer.
