DLDCC Pilot Project Grant Announcement
Duncan Inter and Intra Programmatic Multi Investigator Pilot Projects
The Dan L. Duncan Cancer Center is seeking proposals that will increase collaborative translational research. Proposals will require at least two investigators and have clear translational endpoints. Investigators should be from different programs, or if within a program, from different labs or thematic areas. Consideration will be given to proposals that have a good potential to develop into externally funded collaborative grants. This year there is a particular interest in funding projects with translational partners in the Viral and Molecular Oncogenesis and the Cancer Prevention and Population Sciences Programs, though that is not required. Translational collaborations with colleagues in other TMC institutions will be considered if the partner can contribute matching funds from their home institution. No subcontracts will be allowed.
Up to four (4) one year grants of up to $100,000 will be awarded. Funds can be split into more than one account by PI, but unified progress reports based on the projects aims will be required with both PI's collaborators input. No indirect costs will be required. Funds not expended within two years of the project award will be returned to the DLDCC to fund future pilot projects.
We encourage you to consult with your program leaders. For general questions, contact Shari Yepez, in the Dan L. Duncan Cancer Center Administrative Office at 713-798-2087.
