Our laboratory is on the 12th floor of Alkek Tower. The Breast Center uses the open laboratory concept to encourage research collaboration among investigators. Our laboratory occupies 1500 sq. ft. and contains state-of-the-art equipment necessary for cutting edge molecular and cellular biology research. Available to us is one of the largest and most comprehensive animal care facilities among academic institutions which houses more than 300,000 mice. The Breast Center has organized a variety of core research facilities utilized by all investigators including Pathology, Tumor Bank, Biostatistics, Microarray, Confocal Imaging, and Animal Handling and certain Core Facilities are also available college-wide or in the NIH designated Dan L. Duncan Cancer Center including Proteomics, Genetically Engineered Mice, Flow Cytometry, Cellular Imaging, Gene Sequencing, and Veterinary Pathology.
