NanoString technology will be available as a new core service. The NanoString application will enable targeted multiplex analysis of RNA and DNA. NanoString is a direct digital detection system that does not require amplification or enzymology. It can simultaneously analyze from 20-800 genes or gene loci from small samples including tissue, blood, FFPE and single cells. It can perform multiplex target profiling of mRNA, miRNA, lncRNAs, RNA prepared by RIP and DNA enriched from chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) as an alternative to ChIP-Seq.

NanoString Input Amounts
Sample Input Type Input Amount Minimum Concentration
Total RNA 100 ng 33.3 ng/μl
Cell Lysate 10,000 cells in 30 μl

10ng unamplified ChIP DNA

100ng of WGA amplified ChIP DNA or NGS library prepared DNA

3.33 ng/ul

33.3 ng/μl

NanoString offers off-the-shelf products listed below as well as custom sets. All off-the-shelf products are available in sets of 12, 24, 48, 96, 192, 384, 576, 768, or 960 assays. See a list of available CodeSets.
