Affymetrix Whole GenomeTiling Arrays

The ChIP-on-chip assay allows researchers to study gene regulation by epigenetic modifications (histone and DNA modification) and transcription machinery (transcription factor binding), and can also be used to explore other protein-mediated processes such as DNA replication and repair. Many transcription protein-binding sites in the genome are in non-coding regions up to 100 kb from the gene they regulate. To eliminate overlooking these crucial areas of interest, Affymetrix’s Tiling ChIP-chip platform offers unbiased, whole genome coverage, with 6.4 million features/array (Mouse Tiling 2.0R and Human Tiling 2.0R array set). Each mouse and human tiling set consists of seven arrays that cover the entire genome, while model organisms are provided in single array formats. High accuracy and sensitivity are ensured with high-resolution probe design to pinpoint multiple data points per binding region. Available arrays include human, mouse, Arabidopsis, C. elegans, S. cerevisiae, S. pombe, and Drosophila.
