How Do I Prepare my Sample?

See our Web Resources Page for Assisted Analysis and Sorting Guidelines as well as protocols for cell preparation.

How Long Will my Appointment Take?

It depends. Things that will affect this would be how many samples there are to analyze, the concentration of the samples, the number of events needing to be collected for each sample, the assay being performed (e.g. cell cycle tends to take a little longer as you need to run the samples in LO), and how many fluorophores are being used. Ask a technician for an estimate.

How Many Cells Will I Get Back From my Cell Sorting Appointment?

It depends. Things that will affect this would be how many samples there are to sort, the concentration of the samples, the number of cells in the samples, the percentage positive (or the percentage of the population) that you want to sort, the number of cells you want to collect for each sample, the amount of time of the appointment, and what purity setting you wish the cells to be sorted at. Ask a technician for an estimate.
