8b-1. Pericardial effusion.

A. PA chest radiograph demonstrates marked cardiomegaly in this patient with congenital complete AV block secondary to maternal systemic lupus erythematosis. The epicardial pacemaker which had been implanted one week previously was the most likely aetiology of the effusion.
