C. PA abdominal film demonstrates characteristic erosive changes (demineralization, flattening and biconcave configuration) in the vertebral bodies accompanying sickle cell. Abdominal ultrasound in this patient demonstrated cholelithiasis, further confirmation of ongoing hemolysis.
