Professional Statement
My long-term goal in the KLemonLab as a Research Technician III is to learn about human nasal microbiome metabolism, evolution, microbe-microbe interactions, and their correlation with human health. I utilize bioinformatic techniques to study the common nasal bacteria Dolosigranulum pigrum and Corynebacterium species. Throughout the course of these projects, I hope to gain a better understanding of their genomes and how certain differences can be used for future exploration in metabolism and different species interactions. I firmly believe in creating a safe, friendly, and efficient work space for my team members as I also carry out lab logistic duties.Websites
