With over a decade of experience, and a broad background and leadership roles in higher education development and alumni relations, Rachel brings expertise in fundraising, event planning, alumni and donor engagement, strategic planning, writing and public relations to her position as Assistant Director of Development in the Office of Institutional Advancement and Alumni Affairs at Baylor College of Medicine.
Prior to joining Baylor College of Medicine in January of 2020, Rachel was the Associate Director of Board and Donor Engagement at the University of Arizona Foundation in Tucson, Arizona, and managed nearly 15 international alumni networks, and more than 75 regional volunteers and donors, for the Association of Rice Alumni at Rice University in Houston, Texas.
Rachel, a proud graduate of the University of Kansas, worked in small- and large-scale mission-driven national event coordination and execution, academic library development, and corporate relations at her alma mater in Lawrence, Kansas from 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, she held positions in public relations, and managed an annual fund at a small private university.
