Professional Statement

Matt is the Assistant Vice President of Strategic Initiatives. He oversees the Grateful Patient Program, Alumni Affairs, Corporate Alliance, Baylor Medical Foundation Board and the Campaign. Before being promoted, Matt was the AVP for Development where he oversaw the Annual Giving, Moves Management, Data/Analytics Research and Alumni departments. Matt received his MBA in Marketing, Brand Management and Entrepreneurship from the Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester. He also has been a CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) since 2013.

Previously, Matt was Vice President of Development for Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where through a large fundraising initiative he helped transform the hospital and Research Institute from a regional operation to a national fundraising organization.

Prior to this, Matt worked as a Director of Development for Rochester General Health System. Matt was honored with Organizational Planner of the Year in development which was awarded in 2014 by the annual Event Solutions Spotlight Awards.

Before entering fundraising, Matt worked in marketing/advertising where he managed national retail business for General Motors, Xerox Corp, Home Diagnostics and others. He also started his career as a Technical Director for Rochester’s 10pm Fox News.
