Professional Statement
I am an adult gastroenterologist specializing in the care of inflammatory bowel diseases/IBD (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis), disorders of the gut-brain axis (e.g., irritable bowel syndrome/IBS), and defecation disorders (diarrhea and constipation including pelvic floor disorders). I have a special interest in transition of patients with chronic GI disorders from pediatric to adult care, which stems from my training in Internal Medicine & Pediatrics. My primary research area of interest focuses on better understanding the prevalence, predictors, and impacts of discontinuity of care during transition from pediatric to adult care.
I am honored to get to take care of patients, willing to go the extra mile in difficult to solve cases, and thankful to get to work in such a multidisciplinary setting where we truly can provide care for anyone who walks in the door.
