Influenza virus remains a major threat to human health. Hemagglutinin, presenting on the surface of influenza virus, is responsible for the receptor binding with host cells and fusion with host membranes of influenza virus. My research interest focuses on providing the structural basis for the function of hemagglutinin. These structural studies help monitor the evolution of influenza virus and design conformational specific drugs to fight the influenza virus.
