Professional Statement
I am currently a 6th year graduate student whose dissertation research focuses on the development of a non-viral gene therapy-based aerosol treatment strategy for both lung and systemic diseases. Our hope is to provide further treatment options for patients whose only options rely heavily on injection-based peptide administration (e.g. insulin). Progress in my research has generated important pre-clinical data needed to establish the feasibility of this approach, and will hopefully lead to therapies that are cheaper, less invasive, less frequent, and more convenient for patients in the future.Websites
