Applicants pursuing admission into the BCM PA Program are required to complete two separate on-line web-based applications. The first goes to the Central Application Service for Physician Assistants (CASPA), and the second (Baylor Supplemental Application) goes to the BCM PA Program. Direct links to both applications can be found below. The deadline for submitting both the CASPA and Supplemental applications is midnight Sept. 1 for each admissions year. Applications will be available on April 17.
CASPA Application Process
The electronic application along with all official transcripts from colleges and universities attended and letters of recommendation must be submitted directly to CASPA. Following the verification of all materials submitted, CASPA will forward an electronic data file for each completed and verified application to the BCM PA Program. The specific support documents to be sent directly to CASPA are:
- Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
- Three personal references
BCM Supplemental Application
The electronic application is automatically directed to the BCM PA Program when completed and submitted. This completed application must be received by midnight Sept. 1. Questions concerning your Supplemental Application process should be directed to the BCM PA Program.
Supplemental Application Fee
The supplemental application fee is $50 for all applicants. You may pay by PayPal (credit card/e-check) following the instructions at the end of the Supplemental Application. If you wish to pay by check or money order, please make the check payable to Baylor College of Medicine and send to:

The web site for the GRE General Test is www.gre.org. When filling out the application, you will be asked for an Institutional Code, a Department Code, and a Major Field Code. The institutional code for Baylor College of Medicine is 6052. The departmental code and major field code is not required. Your official GRE scores will be sent directly to the BCM PA Program.
The State of Texas requires students in health care related fields to have been immunized against certain diseases. The specific immunization requirements are based on Texas Department of State Health Services, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and Centers for Disease Control recommendations. These requirements can be found on the BCM Occupational Health Program web site. Once at the homepage select “Incoming Students” for information about the documents used to indicate immunization completion, and “Student Immunization Requirements” for a list of those immunizations required of all entering students.
NOTE: Effective Sept. 1, 2011, all students enrolling in BCM health-related training programs, to include the PA Program, are required to have undergone meningitis vaccination within the last 5 years and no later than 10 days before their date of enrollment in 2012. The form for documenting meningitis vaccination can be downloaded from the “Incoming Students” page on the OHP website.
