BCM Orthopedic Surgery Society

Symbol of Orthopedic Surgery

The mission of the BCM Orthopedic Surgery Society (BOSS) is to not just cultivate medical students’ interest in orthopedic surgery but also to best prepare them through:

  • Sharpening cognitive and physical skill sets requisite to becoming preeminent orthopedic surgeons
  • Fostering civic responsibility to the future of the field through both dedicated basic/clinical/translational research and humanitarianism that extends past domestic borders in various forms from political advocacy to pro bono service missions
  • Networking with students, residents, faculty, and orthopedic surgeons here and abroad to strengthen the ties that unite us and learn from our differences
  • Staying abreast of the literature through peer evaluation and presentation of pertinent and clinically-applicable research.
