BCM's O'Malley to receive nation's top science honor at White House

President George W. Bush will award the National Medal of Science to Bert O'Malley, M.D., chair of molecular and cellular biology at Baylor College of Medicine, in a ceremony at the White House later this month.

Baylor mourns loss of Feigin

Ralph D. Feigin, M.D., chair of the Baylor College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics and physician-in-chief at Texas Children’s Hospital for more than 30 years and BCM president from 1996 to 2003, died Aug. 14 following a courageous battle with lung cancer.

The Baylor College of Medicine Teen Health Clinic in Houston will develop a web-based educational outreach program focused on sexually transmitted infections and HIV with a $310,000 grant from the World Health & Golf Association.
