Awards and Recognitions
Dr. George Bisset III, professor of radiology, was named president of the Radiological Society of North America by its board of directors. In this role, he will support the society's commitment to patient care, education, research promotion and fostering technologic innovations.
A series of web-based videos designed to communicate important health messages about sexually transmitted diseases and HIV will premiere at a breakfast event at the Baylor Teen Health Clinic's Cullen Clinic Tuesday, Dec. 13, 9 a.m.
The videos, called "webisodes," were developed through a collaboration of the Teen Health Clinic and the University of Houston School of Communication. To attend the breakfast, RSVP to Anne Van Horn at 713-526-6593 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Holiday choral performance
The department of molecular and cellular biology presents "Bringing the Christmas Spirit," performed by the Tuesday Musical Club Chorus, Dec. 12 from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. at Rayzor Lounge in the Cullen Building. Cookies and punch will be served following the performance.
Discounts to a variety of holiday events are available on the employee discount section of the BCM Intranet. New events have recently been added, including holiday packages to the King Tut exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts and a BCM appreciation day at the Downtown Aquarium, scheduled for Dec. 17.
