October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so it's a great time to schedule your annual mammogram if you have not already done so. Remember, annual mammograms should start at age 40, unless you have a family history of breast cancer in a parent or sibling. In that case, you should begin screening 10 years prior to that family member's age at diagnosis.
