You FIRST recognizes clinical employees

You FIRST winners for quarters one and two have been announced. You FIRST recognizes outstanding customer service by staff and physicians at all BCM Clinic locations. Staff members and faculty are recognized quarterly and then become finalists for the year-end awards in each category.

Dr. Carl Giesler, associate professor, obstetrics and gynecology

"She has confidence in us and acknowledges us for an excellent job we are doing especially when she notices how busy we get, which makes us feel appreciated."

"She is extremely knowledgeable in her field, and uses that knowledge not only in patient testing, but helps other technical personnel develop their skills by teaching and demonstrating correct methods of performing specific skills sets for patient care."

"It would be a great idea to have pictures of leadership personnel that the patients could use, posted in the waiting rooms. For example: the clinical manager and front desk manager. The picture could have their name as the point of contact for any questions, concerns, suggestions, that the patients may have."

"We should modify our comment card usage. Many patients leave very positive comments about their doctors and support staff. Those comments are used only internally so the public does not know how great the doctors (and staff) at Baylor are. We should modify our comment cards so patients know that their comments may be put on our website (perhaps in the doctor's profile or in a separate section). Let's highlight the great care patients give! This would raise BCM's profile and patient confidence level in our mission."
