Run, walk with BCM in 2012 Houston Komen Race

The 2012 Baylor College of Medicine Houston Komen Race team is forming. The race will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, in downtown Houston with participants able to sign up for a variety of 5K routes.

Carrying a heavy backpack can be an issue when kids head back to school. Children should carry no more than 10 to 15 percent of their body weight in their backpacks. For example, a 100-pound child should not carry a backpack that weighs more than 15 pounds.
