Student Corner: Peggy Walsh

As president of AAPA, Walsh oversees projects and initiatives that work on behalf of PA students across the country and acts as a student voice on various AAPA councils and committees. "This year, our primary focuses include evaluating and developing leadership opportunities at the national and state levels as well as expanding opportunities for students to become involved in legislative action pertinent to future practice."
She is involved in philanthropic activities through the organization, including a project in April that focuses on needs in the local community. She also volunteers at the Children's Museum of Houston and likes physical fitness.
"I run and cycle regularly, and I like encouraging others to find enjoyable forms of physical fitness."
Peggy will graduate in December and plans to work in pediatrics.
