BCM tackles Alzheimer's on all fronts: Community Outreach

Members of the Alzheimer's Disease and Memory Disorders Center have educational outreach programs from the high school to graduate school level.

These programs include:

  • Preceptorships for Community Practitioners - a program for practicing physicians interested in broadening their understanding of AD and related dementias.
  • Continuing Medical Education programs are also available to medical professionals. View all outreach opportunities.

The ADMDC, in collaboration with the Alzheimer's Association Houston and Southeast Texas Chapter, hosts an annual "Update on Alzheimer's disease" educational program on new diagnostic, treatment, and research developments in the field of dementia and memory loss. This program is free, open to the public, and supported, in part, by the Moselle and Milton Pollack Endowed Fund for Alzheimer's Education in the Alzheimer's Disease and Memory Disorders Center at Baylor College of Medicine. It is just one of the many ways that the ADMDC reaches out the community.See past events.
