The Houston community will have an opportunity to hear one of the leading researchers on Alzheimer’s disease discuss the latest research on the disease at the annual “Update on Alzheimer’s Disease” lecture Nov. 10, 2014.
When it comes to good health, medical students at Baylor College of Medicine can talk the talk, but they also want to bring the Houston community together to walk the walk at the 3rd annual Baylor College of Medicine Wellness 5K Race and Walk.
Dr. Jeffrey Sachs, one of the world’s leading experts on economic development and the fight against poverty, told graduates to “become doctors of the planet” in addition to being medical doctors and scientists.
Dr. David Spiegel, Wilson Professor and associate chair of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine, will receive this year’s Joan and Stanford Alexander Award in Psychiatry and deliver a lecture at Baylor.
The Baylor College of Medicine Mass CPR event, organized by medical students, will provide free one-hour CPR training at five different community centers in high-risk Houston neighborhoods Saturday, March 1.
