Dr. Matthew Ellis named to Forbes’ “Physician Honor Roll"
Dr. Matthew Ellis, director of the Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center, part of the NCI-designated Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center at Baylor College of Medicine, is one of 27 breast oncologists across the country being recognized by Forbes as an exemplary physician in the field of breast cancer oncology.
Many individuals on the list have served in the top spots of multiple hospitals, contribute a wealth of clinical research to advance the practice, in addition to serving on community boards and national organizations. Ellis is a leading expert in the advancement of proteogenomics and precision medicine and is renowned for his research and treatment of metastatic disease and estrogen receptor-positive breast cancers.
“I am honored to be recognized as an exemplary physician by Forbes,” said Ellis, who also is a McNair Scholar and director of precision oncology at the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center at Baylor. “I share this recognition with the many physicians I collaborate with, nurse practitioners and support staff I work with, as well as laboratory scientists with whom I conduct research into the fundamental basis for the disease.”
