Carol Channing to be honored at 2011 Women's Health Summit

Tony and Golden Globe Award-winning singer, actress and comedienne Carol Channing will be this year's recipient of The Anne Morrow Lindbergh Award for Living with Grace and Distinction at the 2011 Women's Health Summit, benefiting the Huffington Center on Aging at Baylor College of Medicine. The event will take place at the River Oaks Country Club on Wednesday, Oct. 26.

The event kicks off with an educational seminar including a talk by Dr. Shelena Lalji, medical director of the Dr. Shel Wellness and Medical Spa, who will speak "Staying Youthful As You Age." Annharriet Buck, president of Annharriet Buck Consulting, will give a talk titled "Mindful Stress Management."

Deborah Duncan will serve as mistress of ceremonies for the luncheon and awards program, where Channing will be interviewed by television personality, civic leader, actress and writer Warner Roberts.
