Voigt to head BCM's section of developmental and behavioral pediatrics
Dr. Robert Voigt has been named the new leader of Baylor College of Medicine's section of developmental and behavioral pediatrics in the department of pediatrics.
Voigt has also been named chief of service for the Meyer Center for Developmental Pediatrics at Texas Children's Hospital.
Voigt received his bachelor's degree in natural sciences from John's Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md., and medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine.
Following completion of his pediatrics residency training at BCM, he served as an assistant professor of pediatrics at BCM and then a professor of pediatrics and adolescent medicine at the Mayo Clinic and Mayo Medical School in Rochester, Minn.
Voigt's appointment became effective July 30.
