Dr. Eli Mizrahi has been named chairman of the Department of Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine by the college's board of trustees.
Mizrahi, who became a full-time faculty member in 1982, has served as vice chairman of the department, head of the Peter Kellaway Section of Neurophysiology and director of the Baylor Comprehensive Epilepsy Center.
"Eli Mizrahi is the ideal choice to lead this important area of research and clinical care," said Dr. Jay Stein, executive vice president and executive dean of BCM. "He has spent his career at Baylor, becoming a nationally recognized expert in the fields of epilepsy and neurophysiology and taking on many leadership roles for the department."
