Dr. Victor M. Rivera, professor of neurology and medical director of the Maxine Mesinger Multiple Sclerosis Comprehensive Care Center, was recently honored by the Latin American Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis. He was recognized as the committee's founder and two-time president at the recent LACTRIMS Congress in Santiago, Chile.

The Victor Rivera Award was named and given to the best paper presentation at the congress. LACTRIMS includes more than 1,000 neurologists and multiple sclerosis professionals from 19 countries.
